I kinda missed the anniversary of this site by a few months. This site went live September 17th, 2011. So it’s officially six years old this year. Forgive me if I’m a little late in announcing this, moving to a new country does allow for some forgetfulness.

Six Fucking Years

If you would have told me I would be writing for 6 years solid I would have looked at you and laugh. In all honesty, I never thought I last this long. Hell, some days I wonder why I write at all but I still do. It’s always been a sense of normalcy about writing for you people. It’s something that I have just trained myself to do 5 days a week and for about an hour or so I sit in front of a computer and write away.

Somewhere along the way I lost track of time and have just churned these things out. Sometimes they are winners and sometimes they are shit. I have come not to take it personally, if someone doesn’t like what I write, hell, I’m my worst critic. Also, different views are fine as well. In this day and age where having an opinion that is different than the masses makes you evil, I don’t care if you agree with me or not. It’s your right as a person. You can have a different view than me. Hell, maybe you can convince me that your view is better.

Mostly Honest

My topics have always varied but the one thing I have tried to do is remain honest. I don’t always tell the full truth to protect identities or myself but you get the nearest to the truth that I can publicly disclose.

I guess not sugar coating the reality of mongering and making it to be some glamourous world of endless partying and easy women has taken some of the luster off it. I have been mongering since I was 18 and am now 44 and living in Pattaya, Thailand which could be claimed as the mongering capital of the world. I have seen mongering from both the customer side and the service side.

In effect, I have seen things most of you never will and I’ll always been honest about it. Why lie to prop up something that isn’t all that it is made out to be.

So Where To

Now that I live in Pattaya you are going to get a reality through the eyes of an expat. It’s not all kitten and rainbows over here. It’s not a dream and there are women tossing themselves at you endlessly. There is normal shit that you deal with living in another country.

You are going to get a lot more of that. I could tell you all about getting fucked over for a cheap knockoff battery today. The adventures of walking past the gay massage joints while buying a new keyboard.

The point is, you are going to get a lot more Pattaya. This will be very true as I settle in and don’t feel the urge to go out and deal with hookers and other shit. Living the dream means to me now, not having a job, doing the shit I want and still getting paid. It’s taking endless naps and watching Magnum P.I. marathons (need a go fund me for a Ferrari 308 btw).

I am sure I will write about hookers and next year I have more travel in the region scheduled. I have a Cambodia trip scheduled for February that will take me to a few places within the country and then I’ll look at doing some travel within Thailand. Udon Thani is definitely on the radar, one of the sources of girls in Pattaya.

Thank You

Thank you to all that have been here since day one. To those of you that comment and have been lurkers, thank you as well. It means a lot to mean that you read my drivel daily. It is what keeps me writing.

One of these days I’ll refresh the site design but with my new busy schedule of naps between photo jobs and Magnum P.I. and some other design work I’ll keep pushing it. Least I’m honest about it!

Look for a New Years Recap next week and thank you again for reading this! Without you there would be no Monger Travels.
